Indoor pickleball lessons in Tacoma
Rain doesn't cancel a lesson at The Drop. We reserve an indoor court downtown for private lessons, semi-private sessions, and small groups, all year.
Where lessons happen
The Drop Pickleball Club is at 2360 S Fawcett Ave, a few blocks off Pacific Avenue downtown. It has seven indoor courts with permanent nets and no basketball lines under your feet. You don't need a membership: we reserve the court, and you show up with your paddle and court shoes.

Court fees
We charge a base court fee on top of the lesson, plus an hourly fee for each player who isn't a Drop member, so members pay less. Lessons run one or two hours and start on the hour. The full total is always itemised in the booking flow before you confirm.
How the court reservation works
The Drop opens its courts for reservations 7 days ahead. Book a lesson within the week and we check that a court is free before you confirm. Book further out and your coach reserves your court the day it opens. If it's taken by then, we'll help you reschedule to a time that works for you.
Lesson formats
- Private lessons — one coach, one student, aimed at whatever is costing you points.
- Semi-private sessions — two or three students who split the hour and the cost.
- Group clinics — four to six players, priced as a total for the lesson rather than per head.
Current prices for every format are on the pricing section, and the exact total — lesson, the court fee, any first-lesson discount — is itemised in the booking flow before you confirm.
How booking works
Booking is online and takes under a minute: no account, no deposit, no prepayment. You pay at the lesson with cash, Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle, and cancelling or moving a lesson is free up to 24 hours before. Both coaches compete at 4.5–5.0 DUPR, and first-timers get a new-client discount when the offer is running.
