Privacy

When you book a lesson: your name, email address, and phone number, the skill level you pick, and — only if you choose to fill them in — your DUPR rating, a note to the coach, and how you heard about us. We also store the lesson itself: type, coach, court, date, time, length, and price.

When you join a waitlist: your name, email address, the date and lesson type you want, and your phone number if you give one.

When you leave a review: the display name you choose, your rating and written quote, and your email address. The display name, rating, and quote are published on the site. Your email address is not, and is kept only so we can tell a real review from a fake one.

Automatically: your IP address is used to rate-limit booking and review submissions so the forms can't be abused, and standard web analytics about your visit are collected as described below. If you arrived by scanning one of our printed flyers, we also note which flyer it was, along with a random id kept in your browser so repeat scans count once and a booking can be credited to the flyer. Nothing in that record identifies you.

Under that same random id we also log how the site is used: which pages open, how long they stay open, which booking steps are reached and what is picked at each, and where you came from (a search, an ad, a flyer), and the general area you're in if you use the court finder. None of it is a name or an address until you book. Add ?tracking=off to any page's address to keep your browser out of all of it.

We never ask for or store payment details. You pay your coach in person with cash, Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle, and those transactions happen entirely outside this site.

• To schedule your lesson and hold the slot.
• To email you a confirmation with a calendar invite and your personal cancel-or-move link, and to send a reminder before the lesson.
• To text you if a waitlist slot opens or a coach cancels or moves a lesson, when you've given us a phone number.
• To let your coach reach you about your lesson.
• To publish reviews you have chosen to submit.
• To understand how people find the site and whether our ads work.

We don't sell your information and we don't share it with other coaches or clubs. We do rely on service providers who process it on our behalf:

• Supabase — hosts the database your booking is stored in and runs the functions that create it.
• Vercel — hosts this website and provides its page-view analytics.
• Resend — delivers our confirmation, reminder, cancellation, reschedule, and review-request emails.
• Twilio — delivers our text messages.
• Google — Analytics and Ads, for traffic measurement and ad conversion tracking. When you book, we also share a hashed (scrambled, one-way) copy of your email and phone number with Google Ads, which it can only use to match the booking to an ad click.
• Meta — the Meta Pixel, for ad conversion tracking.

Google and Meta set their own cookies and may use what they collect for their own advertising purposes, under their own privacy policies. Their scripts are not loaded when the page first opens — they load only after you interact with the page, and only on the live www.learnpickleballtacoma.com site.

Booking records are kept as a business record of lessons taught, including after a booking is cancelled. Waitlist entries are kept until the date has passed. Published reviews are kept until you ask us to remove them. Rate-limiting records are short-lived and hold nothing but an IP address or email address and a timestamp.

• Cancel or move a lesson yourself with the link in your confirmation email, free up to 24 hours before.
• Ask us to delete your booking history, your waitlist entries, or a review you left — email us and we'll do it.
• Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you.
• Block analytics and advertising cookies with your browser's settings, an ad blocker, or your device's ad-tracking controls. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights over your personal information. Email us and we'll honour them; we don't distinguish between visitors on the basis of which law applies.

We teach juniors, and a parent or guardian books those lessons. We ask that anyone under 18 not submit the booking, waitlist, or review forms themselves. If you believe a child has given us information directly, email us and we'll remove it.
