About us

Tacoma Pickleball Lessons is a two-coach operation run by Luke and Sora, both competing at 4.5+ DUPR. We are not a franchise, a club, or an app that resells other people's calendars. When you book a lesson here, one of the two of us shows up and teaches it.

Luke coaches analytically — expect the reasoning behind every drill, and a bias toward point strategy, breaking plateaus, and tournament prep. Sora coaches fundamentals first, by demonstrating rather than explaining, then running reps with patient feedback until the shot holds up at speed. • Private lessons — one coach, one student, everything aimed at whatever is costing you points.
• Semi-private sessions — two students who split the hour and the cost.
• Group clinics — up to four players, priced as a total for the lesson rather than per head.
• Doubles labs — live points with coaching between them, for partners who already play together.

Add both coaches to a clinic and the group gets smaller per drill and more reps each. Lessons can repeat weekly for up to eight weeks at the same time slot.

Our home courts are Fircrest Park, Harry Todd Park, and Point Defiance Park. We will also meet you at a court of your choice anywhere in the South Sound for a travel fee that scales with the drive. Public courts are first-come, so a specific court is never guaranteed — bring a little patience on sunny evenings.

Cities we quote a travel fee for: Algona, Auburn, Bonney Lake, DuPont, Edgewood, Elk Plain, Federal Way, Fife, Fircrest, Frederickson, Gig Harbor, Graham, Lacey, Lakewood, Milton, Pacific, Parkland, Purdy, Puyallup, Ruston, South Hill, Spanaway, Steilacoom, Sumner, Tacoma, University Place. Anywhere farther still works; it just books at the catch-all rate. The current fee for every city is shown in the booking flow before you confirm.

Booking is online, takes under a minute, and needs no account and no deposit. You pick the lesson type, coach, length, date, and time, and the price is itemised before you confirm. Payment happens in person at the lesson — cash, Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle. We do not take cards and we never charge you in advance.

Cancelling or moving a lesson is free up to 24 hours before, using the link in your confirmation email. Inside 24 hours, email us. Because nothing was prepaid there is nothing to refund and no automatic fee.
