Yes, The Picklr Tacoma (2401 N Pearl St) is temporarily closed as of this writing, with no reopening date posted on its own channels. If you drove over and found the doors locked, you aren’t the only one. I don’t have inside information on why or for how long; check their site or social pages for the latest. - Want a club? The Drop downtown is open, with seven indoor courts and a full calendar. If you had a Picklr membership for the unlimited open play, The Drop’s structured-play schedule is the closest thing in town.
- Want cheap indoor reps? The community centers, Sprinker, and the YMCAs are all in the indoor guide, starting at drop-in prices with loaner paddles at the front desk.
- Want free? Six public sites have nets up through the summer (the verified list), and Harry Todd Park in Lakewood keeps permanent nets year-round. Tacoma’s own nets come down starting September 1.

Members who were mid-improvement don’t have to pause. I’m an independent coach: I teach on public courts across Tacoma, Fircrest, and Lakewood, so your lessons aren’t tied to any club’s doors staying open. A semi-private lesson runs $80 an hour total for two people, and new clients get a discount on the first one. Book a lesson and we’ll pick up wherever your club clinic left off.
